RADIESSE® WORKS AGAINST THE STRUCTURAL CAUSES OF AGING
Skin improvement from within
In the last article, I wrote about the superficial improvement of the skin's appearance by applying a retinol scrub.
This article is now intended to address the structural improvement of the skin in depth. A special filler, Radiesse from Merk, which consists of a filler gel and microspheres — the smallest spherical particles of calcium hydroxyapatite — can on the one hand very effectively sharpen the contours of the face, but also reduce deep wrinkles; on the other hand, it is used more and more as a type of microlifting.
For this purpose, the preparation is diluted with a local anesthetic and introduced fan-shaped into the area to be treated with a blunt needle.
By stimulating connective tissue cells, more collagen and elastic fibers are formed, which give the skin more firmness and elasticity in depth.
In Europe, this biolifting is primarily used on the face and neck, but in the USA it is also used to tighten the upper arms, knees or décolleté.
A natural lifting effect can be seen immediately after the treatment. Much more remarkable, however, is the long-term effect that begins after about one month, caused by the biostimulation of connective tissue cells, which significantly strengthens and firms the skin.
